Review: Montagne Jeunesse Face Tonic

Hello!

So....yet again I have to apologise for being so utterly rubbish at keeping up to date with blog posts. It's been over a month since my last post! Agh! I'm so sorry! My excuse is the age old "I work in retail and it was Christmas...." I pretty much got up, went to work, got home, slept and then repeated it the next day. Lovely right? Anyway, as I was so busy over Christmas I didn't have time to indulge in proper face mask time due to the fact that most of them take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to work and I was just too tired for that (how lame does that sound?!) So when I popped into Boots and saw the face masks were on 3 for 2 I obviously picked some up for a winter face revival....as I was choosing (peel off mask is always a winner!) I saw this one and thought it sounded like a really great idea!

The basic concept of this face mask is for a quick and easy mask that is mess free and rejuvenates your skin within 5 minutes.

The pack is pretty much the same as most of their other mask packets. I'll be honest....I don't think I've ever made that face when using a face mask...is this just me?? Haha!

The instructions seem pretty clear and easy. I was really looking forward to being able to use a face mask without having to put too much effort into it.
This is what the mask looks like when you get it out of the pack (I may have unfolded it a little bit to show the colours of the mask) I'll be honest I was a little bit sceptical when I first got it out of the packet.

And.....even more sceptical once I'd unfolded the face mask! Now then, the instructions say that you have to take the bit of material out of the mouth bit to create the nose strip...this is surprisingly more difficult to do than I expected (either that or I am SUPER weak!....it's entirely possible that it's the second option...)
Wow...look at that lovely photo of me wearing the mask! haha! As you can see the mask is a tad too big for my tiny face so there was some extra material and the mouth bit is a bit too big too. It was quite cold when it first went on but you could feel the effects of it straight away. It felt really refreshing but a little weird putting a material face mask on. The smell was really quite nice too, not too overpowering. I left it on for about 10 minutes because I was feeling that my face was getting a tad dry with the winter weather and I figured the extra time would be good for my skin. After I'd taken it off and, following the instructions, massaged in the excess and then rinsed my face, I felt so refreshed! My face was epically smooth and soft too. I would highly recommend this face mask for a quick easy fix and will definitely be repurchasing this soon.

Have any of you tried this mask? Or other material face masks? What do you think? Hit or miss?

Until next time,
xoxo
